How to Undo saved page Written on November 24, 2009, by arifwicaksono.

If your computer has Windows XP Professional, you might be able to recover the document using previous versions :

  1. Right-click the folder that contains your thesis file.
  2. Click Properties .
  3. Click Previous Versions .
  4. Double-click the most recent folder version that contains the desired file version.
  5. Right-click the file and click Copy .
  6. Right-click the location where you want to store the file and click Paste .

Otherwise:

  1. Immediately stop using the computer for anything but recovering the file.
  2. Download Recuva , preferably on another computer.
  3. Install and run Recuva, and have it look for documents and for the contents of the folder where you stored your thesis.

or you can usingĀ  “automatic backup” feature from microsoft word, to activate this feature this is the steps :

Word will now create and save a backup copy of the document each time you save the document. Each backup copy replaces the previous backup copy. Word applies the .wbk filename extension to all backup copies, and it saves them in the same folder as your original document. When you select this option, Word disables the Allow fast saves check box, because Word can create backup copies only when it performs a full save
